Everyone loves to wear a ring and usually has one or many in their collection. There are many types of rings and designs. One of the most popular designs of rings on today's market is the Inlay Ring. Inlay refers to the style in which the stones were set into the ring. Inlay Jewelry is made by first designing and fabricating the silver or gold piece. Once the jewelry is finished being fabricated the artist will choose his stones an hand cut each stone to fit into the channels he created in the piece(s) of jewelry. Intricate inlay patterns will have several small stones in one channel in the piece(s) of jewelry. Using the inlay process it is easier to keep a ring lightweight and sleek as the artist has more control of the thickness and size of the gemstone than if he/she were to buy the stones pre-cut as a cabochon. This is one of the reasons that the Inlay Ring is among the most popular adornments for women and men. Another reason is that the process in which these finger adornments are made allows for many different styles to be made and almost all gemstones can be used in a Inlay Ring. Below we have images of many different types of Inlay Ring with many different gemstones.
