Persian Turquoise

The history of Turquoise is quite remarkable and an interesting fact of global history. Turquoise was first discovered in Egypt about 6000 B.C., it was coveted by spiritual leaders, healers and the leaders of the first great organized government of mankind. Nomadic Traders took Turquoise to distant lands to introduce and trade it to other societies where it became popular and increased demand.

Turquoise was discovered in Persia about 4000 years ago and the Persian culture also considered Turquoise as having spiritual powers. Again, nomadic traders took Persian Turquoise to the market place and it became in demand by many people in many other different regions of the world.
