Did you know that Turquoise was one of the very first gemstones found by man? It is true! Turquoise was first found in Egypt over 7,500 years ago - Pharaoh's and Spiritual leaders of ancient times believed that Turquoise was put on earth by the great ones above and for the next several thousand years Tribal and Spiritual Leaders from many different regions of the world had the same analogy of Turquoise - Turquoise is the sky stone sent from the great ones above that possesses great spiritual as well as metaphysical powers.

High Grade Natural Turquoise Cabochons as well as High Grade Natural Turquoise, is RARE!
Seriously!, High Grade Turquoise and High Grade Turquoise Cabochons that are natural, with no treatments or alterations may be the rarest of all popular precious gemstones today. There has never been more demand for natural high grade Turquoise on earth as there is today in 2014, but, we have a serious situation - we cannot produce the Turquoise to feed the demand. The most important Turquoise Mines in the world exist in the Southwestern United States and they are not producing today and will not be for some time to come.
We have had a tragic series of events in the Turquoise industry between 1985 and 2014 - In brief, the world market has been flooded with cheap Chinese Turquoise, as well as their imitation Turquoise since the late 1980's and many dramatic things happened as a result! The mining of Turquoise in the USA was extinguished as American Turquoise Miners simply went broke trying to compete with the Chinese imports which kept coming and coming and coming! Of over 180 active U.S. Turquoise Mines producing quality natural Turquoise prior to 1980, there are only 2 commercial mines producing today, Kingman and Royston. By 1995, most every Turquoise Mine in the United States had been covered up with 12' of debris by the Miners that had just watched their American Heritage get washed down the drink. They had to leave their homes and livelihood in disgust to find a new way of life.
By 2011 or so, American Turquoise collectors and buyers realized the shortage of high grade Turquoise and a new realization had begun. Japanese gemstone investors had been buying up most of the top grade natural American Turquoise and believe it to be one of the earths most important gemstones. China had also stopped exporting their natural Turquoise by this time and began efforts to bring home their valuable Turquoise.
By 2013, the Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Mine has closed and the collecting of American Turquoise by China has begun. China has now begun combing the world to purchase their own Turquoise back and the largest Turquoise boom the world has ever known appears to be coming on strong in China. It has become nearly impossible to find authentic, natural, high grade Turquoise in the United States, especially Sleeping Beauty Turquoise.
Today, in 2014, Turquoise of any type has become very hard to find and authentic, natural, high grade Turquoise is nowhere to be found! We find a tremendous amount of fake Turquoise made from Howlite, Magnisite and refined cement at gem shows as well as in Fashion Jewelry Stores. Serious Turquoise buyers are having a difficult time finding quality Turquoise that is real and free of treatment.
We predict it will be a short period of time before the Chinese realize the finest Turquoise on earth comes from North America and they will also realize that authentic natural high grade Turquoise is extremely rare and an incredible investment! We also predict the value of high grade Turquoise will continue to escalate dramatically beyond our imagine as less than 1% of the Turquoise that comes out of the average American Turquoise Mine produces High Quality High Grade Turquoise Cabochons.
